Beaumont Police are investigating a homicide on Goliad Street, the city’s second homicide since Thursday.
Officers responded to a shots fired call in the area near Goliad and Wall, just north of College, late Saturday night, shortly before midnight.
Officers discovered a body on a grassy area in front of a home on Goliad, near the street.
JP Jones has ordered an autopsy. Officers put up yellow crime scene tape and searched for evidence, remaining on scene for several hours into early Sunday morning.
While this investigation is underway, police continue seeking information about the Thursday night homicide of 26-year-old Ashton Randolph on Irma Street.
