SAN ANTONIO — One person was taken to the hospital after they were shot on the city’s West Side Thursday afternoon, police say.

The shooting happened around 2:16 p.m. near the intersection of Callaghan and Culebra Rd., behind the Crown Jewel Ballroom.

Police at the scene tell us two males were walking when a small black car with four males inside pulled up and started shooting at them.

One of them was shot in the abdomen and leg and took off to a nearby business to call police. The other fled the scene. Police do not know if the one who fled was injured or not.

The male that was shot was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
