Calcasieu Parish deputy terminated following arrest

Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s deputy Brittney Williams was fired Tuesday after being arrested for aggravated battery and domestic abuse battery-child endangerment, according to Sheriff’s Office officials. Lake Charles, LA (KPLC) – A Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputy has been terminated following her arrest Tuesday, according to authorities.

The Lake Charles Police Department arrested deputy Brittney Williams around 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 14, on counts of aggravated battery and domestic abuse battery-child endangerment, according to Kayla Vincent, sheriff’s office spokeswoman.

Williams’ husband, Terrence Williams, 49, was arrested on one count of domestic abuse battery-child endangerment and one count of domestic abuse battery-strangulation, according to officials with the Lake Charles Police Department.

The arrests were in connection with an investigation into a domestic disturbance call Lake Charles police worked in the 1400 block of E. School Street on Dec. 10, according to Deputy Chief Franklin Fondel, with the Lake Charles Police Department. He said the investigation is ongoing.

Brittney Williams worked in investigations and had been with the department for approximately 14 years before being terminated, according to Vincent.
