Beaumont police are now investigating a second homicide in two days.

At 11:52 p.m., officers went to the 2300 block of Taylor Street after receiving reports of a shooting victim, according to Beaumont polices spokesperson Ofc. Carol Riley.

Felton Jones, 30, was found dead in the driver’s seat of a Gray Chevrolet Malibu, she said.

Multiple witnesses told police that they heard “several gunshots” when Jones was parked outside of a nearby residence.

Further information was not available Sunday morning.
