JASPER COUNTY/SABINE COUNTY — A Silsbee man who had served as president of the Evadale Little League has been arrested in connection with a case involving alleged indecency with a child.
Mike Lout with our media partner, KJAS, broke the news Friday morning and was at the jail when Adam Isaacks, 38, was brought in following his arrest Thursday night in Sabine County. Lout got exclusive pictures of Isaacks and Steve Stewart with KJAS got exclusive video.
KFDM/Fox 4 News has learned the board of the Evadale Little League removed Isaacks from the president’s position Wednesday when members first learned of the investigation.
Chief Deputy Scotty Duncan said the investigation into the case began earlier this month when a child in the south end of Jasper County told his parents about an alleged act or incident. Duncan said evidence from that investigation resulted in a warrant being issued for the arrest of Adam Isaacks, 38, who was arrested on Thursday evening at an undisclosed location near Hemphill in nearby Sabine County.
Duncan said following his arrest on the charge of Indecency with a Child, Isaacks was taken to the Sabine County Jail in Hemphill, where he was arraigned and his bond set at $500,000.
On Friday morning, Isaacks was transported by Sheriff Mitchel Newman and others to the Jasper County Jail where he is still being held.
According to Newman, the investigation is continuing and he said there is a possibility that Isaacks could soon face additional charges as he and others continue to receive reports of other similar allegations. However, Newman said that due to the sensitivity of the case and the age of those involved that he could not release additional information.
