LAFAYETTE PARISH EDUCATOR ARRESTED FOLLOWING INCIDENT AT SCHOOL

LAFAYETTE PARISH, La. (KADN) – A Lafayette Parish educator was arrested Thursday after an incident at Broadmoor Elementary.

Marsiah Conner, 37, is charged with one count of cruelty to juveniles.

A Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman said that the morning incident involved a student at the school.

Conner is listed as a special education assistant on the Broadmoor Elementary website.

No further details have been made available about what happened.

Conner was booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center.

News15 reached out to LPSS regarding the incident. A spokeswoman sent us the following statement: “LPSS is aware of the alleged incident, and we are conducting an investigation. We are unable to share any information regarding this as it is a personnel matter.”
