ROUND ROCK, TX — Waffle House has set its sights in Round Rock to build its first location in the city, according to city documents.
The 24-hour breakfast chain purchased land in Round Rock and received a site development permit approval from the city, officials said Friday.
The restaurant, known for waffles and other southern-style fare, will be located at 2651 South A.W. Grimes Boulevard just south of State Highway 45.
At this time, there is no official opening date on the new location. There are currently three Waffle House restaurants in the Austin area.
The closest Waffle House to Round Rock is its 12304 Dessau Road location.
