
POLK COUNTY β Law enforcement officers are investigating a head-on collision that killed both drivers near the Alabama-Coushatta Indian Reservation.
According to PolkCountyToday.com and our media partner, KJAS and Steve W Stewart, it happened at about 3:40 a.m. Sunday on Highway 190, near the Alabama-Coushatta Indian Reservation about 15 miles west of Woodville.
PolkCountyToday.com reports the driver of an eastbound 2021 Kia Forte crossed the center line and crashed into a westbound 2003 Ford Explorer.
The driver of the Kia, Cassie Battise, 34, of Livingston, and the driver of the Ford, Latina Tate, 52, of Big Spring, both died at the scene.
