
SAN ANTONIO – Law enforcement is investigating a threat against San Antonio archbishop Gustavo Garcia-Siller.
A man allegedly called the archbishop’s office and demanded money, or he would kill him.
A statement from the archdiocese this evening says quote “out of an abundance of caution, security was present at the pastoral center campus and were in attendance at events in which the archbishop was taking part for several days. Recent developments the past couple of days have enabled the archbishop to forgo enhanced security measures.”
This comes on the heels of the “Day of the Virgin of Guadalupe” happening tomorrow.
No other details were given.
