CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – A jury in Corpus Christi has awarded $300 billion dollars to one family whose loved ones were killed by an alleged drunk driver.
Police say Joshua Delbosque ran a red light back in 2017, killing 59-year-old Tamra Kindred and her 16-year-old granddaughter Aujuni Anderson.
Delbosque also died.
Kindred and Anderson’s family sued the bar that the driver was leaving from, claiming they over-served Delbosque.
Investigators say he was given 11 drinks that night.
Kindred and Anderson’s family say they hope their case sends a strong message to restaurants and bars to never overserve their customers.
