
SAN ANTONIO – In another win for UTSA, head coach Jeff Traylor has been named the American Football Coaches Association Regional Coach of the Year.
Traylor joins Luke Fickel from Cincinnati, Sam Pittman from Arkansas, Michigan State’s Mel Tucker, and Utah State’s Blake Anderson as a member of the five regional winners.
Traylor is now a finalist for the National Coach of the year.
This year, head coach Jeff Traylor led the UTSA Roadrunners to a 12-1 record and a Conference USA championship.
Traylor says this dream season is what he had envisioned all along.
The Roadrunners now have their eyes set on the Frisco Bowl in the Dallas area. It’ll be played on Dec. 21 on national TV at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas.
