BEAUMONT — The Christmas season makes its official arrival in Beaumont.

Following a short countdown from Mayor Robin Mouton, the city’s Christmas tree lit up along with a fireworks display.

Hundreds attended the festivities at the Event Centre in downtown Beaumont Wednesday night.

The evening included music and plenty of food trucks.
