PORT ARTHUR — Port Arthur Police are investigating a death on Pleasure Island.

Police responded to a report of a body found in the 1000 block of North Levee Road at about 2:20 p.m. Monday.

Chief Tim Duriso confirms it’s a woman’s body and police are working the case as a suspicious death.

A justice of the peace has ordered an autopsy.
