
OAKLAND, California – A local news station in Northern California is mourning the loss of one of their own.
Oakland Police say a man was shot Tuesday during an attempted armed robbery of a news crew in Oakland.
That man, identified as Kevin Nishita, was pronounced dead Saturday.
KRON4 says Nishita was working security for their news crew when the robbery took place.
Oakland Police have released a surveillance photo of a white sedan they believe was involved in the armed robbery.
A $27,000 dollar reward has been offered to help make an arrest.
Nishita previously worked for the San Jose Police Department.
