Vidor Chief thanks citizens for ‘backing the blue’ & helping officer catch felony suspect

VIDOR — From Vidor Police Chief Rod Carroll: Yesterday afternoon an officer had an individual that was wanted on felony warrants out of Hardin and Jefferson Counties run from a vehicle in which he was the passenger in the area of N. Main and Lowe. I would like to thank the unknown citizen that assisted my officer in chasing this individual and the neighbors that helped search for the suspect.

The suspect, Jordan Higuera, was arrested after a foot chase in the 800 block of N. Main and currently resides at the Orange County Jail.

With all the craziness and threats towards cops in this country, it feels great to work in a community that has my officers’ backs.

Thank You

Rod Carroll

Chief of Police
