  • AVENUE OF FLAGS – At Orange Grove-Graceland Cemetery on Broad Street. Now in its 34th year, flags are raised at 6 a.m. and retired at 4 p.m.
  • CITY OF LAKE CHARLES – Veterans Day Celebration at Veterans Memorial Park at 11 a.m. Patriotic music from the Lake Charles Community Band, guest speaker Kelly R. Miseles, Captain, United States Army (Ret.) and a wreath-laying ceremony. In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will be moved to the Contraband Room of the Lake Charles Civic Center.
  • BANNERS PRESENTS “LETTERS HOME” – 7 p.m. Bulber Auditorium. Get free tickets at


  • CITY OF SULPHUR – Veterans ceremony at 10:30 a.m. at SPAR facility on Parish Road. Free lunch at 11:30 a.m. Veterans Parade on Cypress Street at 1 p.m. Parade starts at Ruth Street and heads east to W.W. Lewis Middle School.

  • VETERANS DAY PANCAKE BREAKFAST – 6-10 a.m. The Grand Church in Kinder. Free to the public.
  • VETERANS BREAKFAST – 8-11 a.m. American Legion Post 1 in Lake Charles. Free to all veterans and first responders.


  • VETERANS BREAKFAST – 7-10 a.m. American Legion Hall in DeRidder. Free to all veterans and spouses.
  • VETERANS DAY CELEBRATION – 1:15 p.m. East Beauregard High School football stadium. Free to the public.
