An out-of-town man driving on a wet road Wednesday night lost control of his pickup truck and hit the metal fence at St. Mary Cemetery on Meeks Drive.

Officer Grantham reported the crash happened about 9:30 p.m. in the 4300 block of Meeks. A Chevrolet Silverado driven by a 24-year-old man from Monroe, Lousiana, was traveling southbound on Meeks in the rain.

The officer said the driver lost control at the curve and went off to the east side of the roadway.  The truck then traveled off the road and through the fence. The driver was not injured.
