Pause in flounder fishing begins Monday

SOUTHEAST TEXAS — According to Texas Parks and Wildlife, seventy percent of flounder caught recreationally in the state are caught in Galveston and the Sabine area.

However, the popular fish will soon be off-limits, from Monday, November 1-December 14.

Anglers may resume fishing for flounder on December 15, but remember, the bag limit is five fish per day with a 15 inch minimum.

If you have any questions, you can contact your local game warden’s office.
