The Conroe City Council approved an ordinance that will make way for a new 290-acre development that will bring homes starting at $3 million to Lake Conroe.
Developer Lovett Group officials asked for the consent to create Montgomery County Municipal Utility District No. 213 off FM 1097 that will be dubbed Lake Celestine.
Director of Community Development Nancy Mikeska presented the item to the council during a workshop meeting Wednesday.
The development spans about a mile along Lake Conroe and will also include lakefront restaurants, retail stores, live-work units, creative office space, a lakefront hotel and recreational amenities.
Single family development will bring cottages, townhomes, courtyard homes and park houses. Mikeska said the lot sizes will range from 3,500 square feet to a quarter of an acre. The development will include a total of 1,038 lots.
Additionally, Lake Celestine will include 20 acres of multifamily living.
No timeline was provided on the project.
