Louisiana State Police announced on Wednesday that a state trooper with their department has been arrested for a Sunday, August 29th, 2021 fatal auto-pedestrian crash here in Jasper County.

Patrick Bell, 45, of Merryville, is charged with Intoxication Manslaughter after he was accused of driving a 2018 GMC Sierra pickup truck which went off of the westbound lane of Highway 63 West, just outside of Jasper, and struck Frederic Joshua Goleman, 59, of Jasper, who was walking on the improved shoulder.

Golman was killed instantly.
