Two arrested in Tyler County church burglary case

The Tyler County Sheriff’s Department has announced that two suspects have been arrested in a church burglary case. According to a press release, the crime was discovered on Saturday, October 9th at Oak Grove Church, located on Farm to Market Road 92 in Spurger.

Deputies say their investigation lead them to Jared Saulsbury, 17, of Silsbee, and Justin Chaison, 20, of Spurger, and also the recovery of most of the items that were stolen. Deputies say those items were located in a home on County Road 4550.

According to the press release, the crime was captured on security camera video, which assisted investigators in identifying their suspects. The press release also said that upon questioning, both Saulsbury and Chaison confessed to the burglary.

The pair was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Trisher Ford each was charged with Burglary of a Building. Their bond amounts were not available.
