
LAFAYETTE, La. (KADN) – The Lafayette Police Department is investigating a deadly shooting at a car wash Friday afternoon.
It happened at a car wash on Eraste Landry Road and Cajundome Boulevard.

According to a LPD spokesperson, one person was killed in the shooting about 2 p.m.
No information was released about the victim.
Two witnesses told News15 crews on the scene that they heard multiple gunshots. One said they counted about eight shots.
Police are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 337-232-8477.
This is the third shooting in Lafayette since Sunday (October 3) afternoon.
On that day, Shayne Burket was shot and killed outside a house on Peach Street.
On October 6, a woman was shot and killed after answering the door of a residence on Essie Street. Brian Babineaux, 53, of Lafayette was arrested and charged with second-degree murder for the crime.
