Newton County Sheriffs Report

The Newton County Sheriff’s Office (NCSO) answered  74 calls to service last week from September 20th to September 26th, 2021.    We currently have  13  inmates in the following Jails, 6 housed in Newton,   7 housed in Jasper.     Last week there were 2 individuals booked into the Jail.

FM 2626:  Vicious Dog Complaint

Deweyville:   Welfare Concern, Theft, Suspicious Activity/Extra Patrol, Burglary of Building, Disturbance, Follow-Up/Case Inquiry, Trespassing

Hartburg:  Civil Matter

Sawmill Town:  Welfare Concern

Wiergate:     Welfare Concern, Abandoned Autos/Blocking Roadway, Suspicious Activity/Extra Patrol,

 Singletary Sites:      Reckless Driving

 Call :   Suspicious Activity, CTW Request,

Bleakwood:     Suspicious Activity, Civil Standby, Animal Nuisance

Sandjack:   Disturbance, Suspicious Activity

Burkeville: Burglary of a Hab,  Suspicious Activity/Extra Patrol, Disturbance, Theft/Fraud, Welfare Concern, Disturbance (Verbal), Trespassing,

Weeks Settlement:   Theft     

Kirbyville:  Assault Family Violence

Indian Hills:  Theft

Old Champion:  Loud Music

Mayflower:  Disturbance

Belgrade:  Traffic Hazard

Newton: Mail Violations, Trespassing, Extra, Welfare Concern
