NEDERLAND — Nederland Police are investigating the circumstances that led to a collision involving four vehicles. Two of the vehicles hit head-on.
The accident was reported at 2:30 in the 1100 block of 27th Street in Nederland.
Police Chief Gary Porter tells KFDM, a driver was traveling south on 27th Street and rear-ended another vehicle. That vehicle ended up in the front yard of a home. Chief Porter says the driver who caused that collision continued on 27th Street and hit another vehicle head-on. The impact forced the vehicle that was struck into the rear-end of another car.
Two people were taken to a hospital. Their injuries aren’t life threatening. Chief Porter says police suspect alcohol as a contributing factor in the collision.
