Orange County Sales Tax Payments July

Sales tax payments for July show continuing increases in consumer purchases, according to information from the Texas Comptroller’s Office.

Payments to the county entities with sales taxes have been sent. The cities of Bridge City and Pinehurst showed decreases in sales from July this year to the same month in 2020. However, all the entities have year-to-date sales increases compared to last year.

The payments are:

Bridge City (1.5 percent tax):  $156,642 for the month compared to $172,186 for July 2020, a decrease of 9.02 percent. $1.55 million for the year to date compared to $1.47 million in 2020, an increase of 5.82 percent.

Orange (1.5 percent tax): $485,565 for the month compared to $438,145 for July 2020, an increase of 10.82 percent. $5.12 million for the year to date compared to $4.23 million in 2020, an increase of 21.1 percent.

Pinehurst (1.5 percent tax): $55,694 for the month compared to $58,924 for July 2020, a decrease of 5.48 percent. $543,281 for the year to date compared to $538,665 for 2020, an increase of 0.85 percent.

Vidor (1.5 percent tax): $330,546 for the month compared to $253,173 for July 2020, an increase of 30.56 percent. $2.69 million for the year to date compared to $2.61 million for 2020, an increase of 11.9 percent.

West Orange (1.25 percent tax): $103,592 for the month compared to $92,905 for July 2020, an increase of 11.5 percent.  $1.01 million for the year to date compared to $907,000 for 2020, an increase of 11.9 percent.

Orange County (0.5 percent tax): $51,817 for the month compared to $463,640 for July 2020, an increase of 11.25  percent.  $4.91 million for the year to date compared to $4.33 million for 2020, an increase of 13.44 percent.

County ESD 3 (Little Cypress Fire) (1.5 percent tax): $17,703 for the month. $200,725 for the year to date compared to $195,177 for 2020, an increase at 2.84 percent.
