As of Thursday, September 2, 2021, according to the Louisiana Department of Health, Louisiana has 694,275 COVID-19 cases across the state with 12,656 deaths resulting from COVID-19.

St. Mary – 7,885 cases, 189 deaths
Vermilion – 9,175 cases, 153 deaths

2,099 new cases reported in the state with 74 new deaths resulting from COVID-19.
