
JASPER COUNTY — UPDATE: About 70 people 12 and older have been vaccinated as of Fridaya morning. The majority of the appointments are students.
CHRISTUS Southeast Texas – As students are returning to school for the academic year, health leaders in Jasper want to make sure students, parents and our community is as safe as possible. On Friday, August 27, 2021, there will be a back-to-school COVID-19 vaccine clinic at the Jasper County Annex Building. Jasper County, the Jasper Newton County Public Health District, CHRISTUS Southeast Texas – Jasper Memorial Hospital, and the Jasper Hospital District are collaborating for this event.
Vaccines will be available for all eligible members of our community, ages 12 and older. Children between ages of 12 – 17 will receive the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine, while those 18 and older will receive the Moderna vaccine. The clinic will run from 7:30 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. and vaccines will be administered by appointment only. People who want to schedule an appointment can call (409) 384-6829.
