Sulphur, LA (KPLC) – Monday, the City of Sulphur announced they have lifted their water conservation request for residents but still ask that residents adhere to the ordinance in place for peak months.
The city originally asked residents to conserve water as some had the possibility of experiencing water discoloration due to higher-than-normal water demand and mechanical issues at one of the city’s plants.
Statement from the City of Sulphur:
The water conservation request in the City of Sulphur has been lifted, but we are still asking residents to adhere to the water conservation ordinance that is in place for peak months. The peak time frame for water conservation will be until September 30th. For additional information regarding water conservation efforts, please visit the City’s website at www.sulphur.org. We thank you for your patience in this matter.
